A WRITE TEACHER REVIEW: Where We Belong, by Emily Giffin

Hello Friends!

Here at The Write Teacher, we adore Emily Giffin. We first fell in love with her novels while on vacation, and every female on the beach was reading Something Borrowed.  We picked it up from the hotel bookstore, and ever since then, well, we’ve been hooked.

Where We Belong…well, was nothing short of excellent.  But then again, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the divine Ms. Giffin.  It is witty, it is raw, it’s real, it’s complicated…it’s life.

Marian Caldwell, a high-powered TV producer/writer, living a life of luxury in Manhattan.  But Marian has a secret…a secret that shows up on her doorstep at eleven o’clock at night…

…{Kirby Katherine Rose}…

…the daughter she gave up for adoption eighteen years ago.  How will they get along? What does she want? How will Marian and Kirby blend their lives? What other secrets does Marian have in her past?

We will not divulge much more on this book, as we don’t want to spoil it for anyone.  Just know, that this should be on ones summer reading list.  With effortless grace and unending charm, Giffin weaves another tale that will resonate with us all, especially mothers, daughters, fathers, sisters, friends, and those special bonds that come with an adoptive family.

Go get it now.
